The Battle Begins

since last time i have made much progress. the first thing was i reused and modified the engines of the other ship to be the animation for this ship which has come out well.

next i have made my star i was having problems with 3ds max trying to have the star be a light source as well as have bloom i was never able to get it to work. so i moved my star texture into unreal engine 4 and made the star in that screenshot it cropped it then used it for the game as it was soo easy to do in ue4.

i made these asteroids in 3dsmax. by making a ball and used the noise tool on it to make alot of shapes out of it that look like asteroids and i made 9 variants of this which you can see below.

next was the red lazer this was super easy i made this in Photoshop painted a red blob that used the smuge tool to make it this shape then i used the glow tool to give it this outline.

next i made the missle which was easy to do i made a cone extruded it a couple of times and and shrunk parts to make it look right then used the smouth tool then painted this in 3ds max. then i used the high power flame from the first spaceship as the engine on this.

lastly the explosion which was made with my good old friend in Photoshop the smudge tool.

and here is the final produced. changes iv made since my early concepts are pretty much just the UI since the game was not going to use the outer parts of the screen iv used the space for the scores and planet HP. the planet hp is 3 steps RED YELLOW GREEN every hit the planet takes it loses a hit point which it has 3 of so RYG is 3 hp RY is 2 R is 1 and if you lose red you lose. i made this animation in Microsoft PowerPoint for demistarion purposes and was pretty easy to do. here is the final thing.
